Families

The Family Ministry is open to everyone in the Parish. We plan and implement events many of which are done in collaboration with other Ministries. Our goal is to increase fellowship and community in our Parish and to engage the broader community in the surrounding towns.

Women’s

The Women’s Ministry of St. Therese Parish was formed in June of 2023. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of the women of our Parish as well as our Parish at large. Our focus is on enhancing the knowledge of our faith and enriching our spirituality. We will do this with spiritual, humanitarian, education and pastoral guidance in mind. All women of our Parish are most welcome to join at any time. You are already a member by belonging to St. Therese Parish. We welcome the young and old, the shy and bold. Meetings are generally held on the second Saturday of each month.

Fellowship

Fellowship Sundays are normally scheduled for the second Sunday of each month, October through June. Sunday morning volunteers prepare coffee, juice, donuts and bagels prior to the 8:15 am Mass. On the first Sunday of every month, the ministry puts together a pancake breakfast featuring fresh, seasonal fruit. Volunteers are required to be food safety certified by the Farmington Valley Health District.

Respect Life

Respect Life Ministry starts in Lent. We run a Baby Bottle Fundraiser to support Two Hearts Pregnancy Care Center, a Catholic based organization located in Torrington, Connecticut. St.Therese Church community is well-known for its generous support of God’s precious babies. We also donate new and gently used clothes to Two Hearts Center. In October each year, we participate in the World Wide prayers for Life with a Day of prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
